Since opening our doors in 1968, to performing the first open-heart surgery in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast in 1983, our 199-bed, advanced tertiary medical center has expanded over the years to offer a full spectrum of healthcare services. Some of our most notable services include our Heart and Vascular Institute, emergency services, orthopedics and joint replacement, Certified Primary Stroke Center, urology, general and robotic surgery, diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation services.

Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after
sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s
chance of survival. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center
has teamed up with Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue to provide free monthly
CPR classes for the community. Classes will be held at Fire Station 1. Local
EMS will give a hands-only, CPR demonstration and go over Automated
External De.brillator (AED) use. Participants will have the opportunity to
practice their new skills using CPR manikins.

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center now offers a
chair yoga class for the community. The class will be
taught by the assistant nurse manager of cardiac rehab, Sara Chambers,
who is also a certi.ed yoga instructor. Using the same techniques as
traditional yoga, the class is modi.ed to allow for gentle stretching, designed
t o help participants strengthen their muscles and work on their balance.
