Raise a glass to Friends of Jupiter Beach food, wine fest

Here’s an opportunity to eat, drink and help a good cause.

Friends of Jupiter Beach will host its eighth annual Food and Wine Festival from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Jupiter Riverwalk Plaza Down Under, below the Indiantown Road Bridge.

The rain-or-shine event has become a staple in the north county event scene and will feature live music and more than 50 purveyors of foods, wines and other libations from both time-honored local purveyors and new Palm Beach County establishments. Mo & Sally from KOOL- 105.5 are the event’s honorary chairs.

General admission is $50 in advance, if purchased by 5 p.m. May 19; $65 at the door; and $20 for children 12 and younger. VIP tickets are $100, and include reserved seating, reserved parking, early entrance at 2:30 p.m., special foods by Nitrogen Bar & Grill and boutique wines from BulletProof Wine & Spirits. Tickets are available at www.FJBFoodandWine.org or at the gate, as long as tickets remain. All proceeds from the event and its raffle will benefit Friends of Jupiter Beach, an organization dedicated to preserving a clean and dog-friendly beach, based on volunteerism and education.
