Lighthouse ArtCenter thanks teachers

The Lighthouse ArtCenter's next "3rd Thursday" will celebrate teachers.

The May 18 event, set for 5:30-7:30 p.m., will feature a curator's conversation with special guests, Erick Rhodes, K-12 arts administrator for Palm Beach County Schools and Florida's own best selling author/illustrator of the "Froggy Series," Frank Remkiewitz.

The center will celebrate teachers this month during its 47th Annual K-12 Show & Sale.

Teachers with ID will be entered into a drawing to win $100 of art supplies from the Lighthouse ArtCenter Art Supply Store.

Guests can take a first look at the summer exhibition, "Drawn To The Arts,” featuring the original artwork of national award-winning children's book author/ illustrators.The reception is free for teachers and members and $10 for nonmembers.
